Hooked was created as a shelter, a safe place to temporarily protect and shield.
This shelter permits the entry of light and air, it marks a territory referencing fences and defined boundaries. Reminiscent of a cage it exhibits entrapment, a self-imposed imprisonment and captivity. Whilst protected from the unknown and the threat of uncertainty a sense of confinement and restriction is present. Its form, although appearing stiff and rigid, is fragile and delicate allowing full exposure of the person contained in its enclosure.
